The wastewater is brown red, with a strong fishy smell. The pig slaughtering wastewater is generally reddish brown with unpleasant fishy smell, and contains a large amount of blood, grease, fur, meat scraps, bone scraps, visceral impurities, undigested food, feces and other filth, resulting in high content of organic matter and suspended solids, and high concentration of organic matter is not easy to degrade. In addition, the biggest difference between it and other high concentration organic wastewater is that its NH3-N concentration is higher, therefore, the impact of NH3-N on wastewater treatment and its removal should be fully considered in the process design.
