Characteristics and difficulties of sewage treatment in slaughter plant
Slaughter wastewater mainly comes from post-slaughter washing, disintegration washing, viscera washing and ground washing, and livestock manure wastewater. Wastewater contains a large number of organic substances, the main components are: animal manure, blood, animal viscera debris, animal hair, broken skin meat and grease and other organic matter, belongs to the high concentration of organic wastewater. The wastewater is brown red, with a strong fishy smell. The fat, protein and other substances in these wastewater are directly discharged into the water body without treatment, which will cause serious eutrophication to the surrounding water body and seriously damage the water body.

According to the actual investigation of the pig slaughtering plant, through on-site investigation and data search, as well as the comprehensive analysis of the monitoring data of the local environmental monitoring station, the technical team of our company has formulated the corresponding technological process for the pig slaughtering plant, which effectively solves the problem of the treatment of slaughtering wastewater in the pig slaughtering plant.
The pig slaughtering wastewater is generally reddish brown with unpleasant fishy smell, and contains a large amount of blood, grease, fur, meat scraps, bone scraps, visceral impurities, undigested food, feces and other filth, resulting in high content of organic matter and suspended solids, and high concentration of organic matter is not easy to degrade. In addition, the biggest difference between it and other high concentration organic wastewater is that its NH3-N concentration is higher, therefore, the impact of NH3-N on wastewater treatment and its removal should be fully considered in the process design. Therefore, the sewage treatment system of this project adopts the process flow of pretreatment anaerobic treatment aerobic treatment biochemical treatment.
